Pilots Beat The Zags, A Week In London, & The Super Bowl.
CAN I GET A WOOT WOOT!!!
The last time Pilot Women’s Basketball beat Gonzaga in the regular season…
Was 2009. This past week Pilots took them to OT and won. Stopping them from winning the regular-season conference championship in their last season in the WCC!
Had a couple of historic wins against Gonzaga these past few years! CRAZYYY! Here are a few more things that have been gassing me up!
92 - 91 win in OT
Seahawks Winning The Super Bowl… Insanity.
I loved the storyline of so many players and coaches on this team. The growth of the organization since hiring John Schneider and Pete Carroll years ago is wild to see play out at the highest level with a new wave of coaches in their 2nd year.
Personally, I found myself sitting in quiet gratitude.
Instead of being the crazy fan I used to be, I had a lot more appreciation for what it actually takes to pull off success with that many people involved. Alignment. Trust. Leadership. Years of work. Organizational success hits different.
Pilots Men’s Basketball Upset The Zags… Watching in person one of the biggest upsets of the year in college basketball — and the most historic win in our school’s history.
#6-ranked Gonzaga was 47–2 against the Pilots until recently.
The gym was bumping. The student section is chanting defense like a full tribe going into battle. Absolute chaos. And it made me think…
Why is it so easy for us to go insane over a dunk, a huge three, or a massive block — but we don’t get that hyped about the things we’re doing each day?
Why is it so easy to cheer for others, but not ourselves?
As the second half wound down and the Pilots were pulling it off, I couldn’t stop thinking about that.
Can you be that fired up about YOURSELF every day?
London Was a Movie… A combination of solo travel for the first three days and meeting up with my squad for the final four.
I loved the vibe. One of my greatest joys is exploring cities on foot and racking up miles. Straight off the flight, onto the tube, and into my Nike Vomero 18s.
Tottenham vs. Dortmund.
Fulham vs. Brighton.
Tottenham won 2–0. Dortmund fans were sick. Fulham Stadium is elite. 93rd minute winner by Harry Wilson — absolute scenes.
Closed out the trip with a Lost Frequencies concert with Shabb, Sam, and the ski crew from Portland. Also got to see two buddies who interned at the University of Portland.
Only adversity? Two brutal days of food poisoning.
We bounced back.
If you go:
Run the waterfront — go to Big Ben and just rip miles on miles.
Run Hyde Park on a sunny Saturday. Everyone vibing. Makes you feel fully alive.
Borough Market - pulled pork sandwich on a fresh bun with coleslaw and that Chipotle sauce… sheesh!

BIG BEN!
