Are You Inspired to BE MORE or Do More?

In the pursuit of being more, we can actually do more of what fulfills us. In being more we actually do more of things that matter.

There is a constant buzz, that inner feeling that keeps knocking and won’t go away, whispering to ourselves that we need to do more. Do more coaching, in life, personal development, reading, work, projects, family, and self-understanding. Do more in our day-to-day lives across our fixed 24 hours. Challenging ourselves to fit in more by making everything important, which ultimately means nothing is important.

When we are inspired, is it inspiring us to do more? In search of ways to do more in the present moment, day, week, year, etc? Or is that feeling an inspiration to BE MORE. Be more of the person we want to become. Inspired to be more and make the decision of what is essential and what is important. Develop the skill to say no to the rest and set a boundary for what is actually moving the needle.

Writing is my output. It is to inspire myself and hopefully others to be more. Be more of the person they want to be now and in the future. I have been thinking a lot about how can we fit what we want to accomplish into a day. Especially, when responsibilities in life continue to ask for more of our attention and energy. As we buy a house, get a dog, get married, have kids, etc they all continue to ask for more of your time and attention. Demanding that we even get more specific into what is ESSENTIAL. It is fascinating, no matter our age or position in our life there will always be challenges, the demand to prioritize, and important decisions to make. Life does not get easier, it becomes more demanding and more difficult the older we get. The difference-maker to make it feel easier is improving our ability to decide what is essential, being able to say “No”, and deeply understand who we want to be. Life finds ways to fill in Parkinson’s law within our lives without us noticing. Where tasks or responsibilities no matter our age find a way to fill our time. It is an area I must grow further.

Parkinson’s Law: "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.”

In the pursuit of being more, we can actually do more of what fulfills us. In being more we actually do more of things that matter. Not just the do more of the non-essential day-to-day tasks and busywork. Being more of our true, authentic self helps us figure out who we really are and who we really want to be.

Who am I becoming?

Who do I want to become?

What & who inspires me? Inspire me to do or be?

In being more, can I actually then do more of what truly matters?
