Is Your Retirement Plan Built to Last?

Let’s Go! You’re back! It has been a minute, and I appreciate you getting curious and clicking the email that was chillin at the top of your inbox.
I went back to my childhood home for my dad’s 79th birthday.
Surprised him with my hometown friends and my Portland crew joining grill sesh, soaking up sunny 75 blue bird day, and having a fire by the lake.
My buddy, I haven’t seen in 6 months, asked, “What’s new?”
Damn I had a lot to say.
Homies pulled up!
BPN Back Yard Ultra… One new thing was I crewed my guy, Logan Walters in running the Bare Performance Nutrition Last Man Standing Backyard Ultra. Insane weekend experience surrounded by incredible people. The energy from the weekend felt like jet fuel was just injected into my veins, borderline hard to even explain.
4.2 miles on the hour, every hour
Miss the start, you’re out (DNF)
Logan achieve his goal of going over 100 miles (107 so 27 hrs of running)
I ran a marathon in parking lot while hyping everyone up
The greatest take away was the opportunity to be apart of Logan’s Misogi (year defining challenge). It is one thing to have your own year defining challenge. It is another to put everything you have and your entire soul into someone else achieving theirs. That was special.
There’s something different about pouring everything into someone else’s moment.
Check out my instagram for some BPN vlogs.
Post Race At Bare Ranch!
The Turn… What happens when your Misogi dies?
My 2026 Misogi was to run in the New York City Marathon. I ran a 2:51:37, thinking that time would get me in. Nope.
All the homies entered the lottery. Nope.
So now there is a void. Do I chase a charity bib and race solo? Or save the race experience for a year when more homies get in, yep that is the move.
The Decision… discovering the new answer, the next move.
50 miler race in AZ.
More half marathons.
Tucson CIM & Honolulu
Let’s Go Tour. Committing to something more challenging, hosting events.
“The one that feels the most uncomfortable… might be the one.”
Curious where you’re at with defining 2026 — What’s your Misogi? What’s your next move?
