Ferate Thoughts: First Week of School
Do you have a list of 300 things that you truly want in your life?
What’s up everyone!
We are back! It’s interesting because I have opened this page several times to start writing. Have a few good ideas… and then just got into something else. Why? Not 100% sure… It’s funny how critical we are of ourselves. Well shit… maybe it’s just me. I looked back to see when is the last time I wrote a newsletter email and was thinking man I haven’t done this in FOREVER (FOR-EV-ER!, Sandlot vibes). Then I surprised myself.
What feels like forever has only been since June. So about 8 weeks. Couple newsletters on what I was thinking about then. Coaching internship advice, everything having downsides, and my favorite tweets. Surprised myself with that one.
Ever do that? Think you’re slacking, go back and look at the evidence? Surprise yourself on what you have done or how far you have come?
Let’s get back to it though.
PRESSURE… Man that has been an interesting one for me lately. I am great at thinking, getting curious, and then thinking A LOT MORE. Logically, that leads to working towards discovering an answer or doing donuts like Fast N Furious Tokyo Drift.
To figure out what I am going to do when I am 40, 45, 50, and so on work wise.
Naval Ravikant said the 3 greatest decisions in life are: what you do, where you live, and who you marry?
Some of my friends are getting married and having kids. Some are single, some are getting divorced, some are married and unhappy. So…?
Fun - what is fun and what gives me energy? Am I having the most fun in the history of ever? (AT LEAST SHOOT FOR THAT) (Incredible people give me energy).
Am I leaning too much into working out? BUT I LOVE IT.
Chill my brotha… that’s where my mind has been recently.
Besides giving you a snapshot into what goes on inside my head (that was just a little bit) here are a few things I have loved recently. Podcast, writing, conversations, etc. These are few things I have been vibing with and want to share with you!
List of 300 things you want to do before you die… Jake Hurwitz - The Optimist Podcast. Outside the Box > Check the Box: It challenges you to get specific, be more creative, and actually think. Easily can do 30 to 60 things but then you have do some leg work. It isn’t so much about checking the box as it is a forcing function to make you think outside the box on what it is you want.
Jay Shetty Podcast on relationship questions… Well damn, my buddy Christian shared this one with me. Not much to say here other than these hit and I need to reflect on my answers.
What defines a healthy relationship?
What are you afraid of when it comes to commitment?
How do you handle conflicts?
What are your long-term intentions?
What does emotional availability mean to you?
Do you prefer to recharge alone?
What does being ready mean to you?
What does independence look like to you?
What are you still healing from?
Create Value… Yogi Roth told me that is what Pete Carroll used to tell him. Create value and then the path with continue to unfold. Sahil Bloom told me a similar thing recently via email when I reached out to him. Less future, more create value now.
AVOID… Speaking of Sahil Bloom, author of 5 Types of Wealth. His advice in his email reminded me of this quote by Buffet & Munger “All I Want To Know Is Where I'm Going To Die So I'll Never Go There”
Rachel casually dropped a heater on X check it out below…

Thanks for staying with me and checking out the newsletter. Excited to be connecting with you more often from here on out! If you resonated with anything specifically make sure you click reply TELL ME or TEXT ME! Would love to hear from you! I am 100% serious.
Keep stacking those daily deposits and making every day the best day of the year, until tomorrow…
